Happy Halloween!!!

Here are some of the fun Halloween decorations that I've been making over the last few weeks. Well, the fence post pumpkins and the Halloween blocks I did last year. If you want info on how to make any of these things, let me know! I'd love to help you out. I didn't come up with any of these things on my own; rather, I saw a cute idea and I did my own version. So I'll try to put credit where credit is due.

I did these Happy Halloween blocks last year (2009) at my Scrapbook retreat in Eden, UT. I based it off an idea from Pat Lingwall (our awesome retreat director) from a set of blocks she did as a class for her local scrapbook store called Heartland Paper in Bountiful, UT. I doubt there is still a picture.

I did these cute pumpkins out of a 4 X 4 fencepost that I got at Lowe's and cut down to each size. I shaved off the edges and painted them orange and distressed them. I got this cute idea from my friend Kellie Elzinga. The cute black fence behind I did this year, based off an idea I got on this cute blog, here.

I did these cute fabric pumpkins following the tutorial from this blog, here. I got the fabric from my local scrapbook store, Scrapbooks, Etc. Isn't it adorable!? The cute stands I got at Goodwill for less than $1 a piece and then I just spray painted them white. I made a few more pumpkins and put them in a dish on my coffee table. One note, the original blog tutorial says to use very strong thread. As I only had regular thread, I quadrupled it, and it still broke trying to cinch the bottom of the pumpkin, so I used fishing line instead and it held like a charm!

Okay, I originally got the idea for a cute Halloween wreath from various blogs that are too numerous to post, but basically I just got a grapevine wreath from Michael's and spray painted it black, then added the Halloween garland, which I also got at Michael's. The Boo in the middle came from a magazine I got at my retreat called Simply Handmade. It's strung on fishing line so it looks like it's floating. Cute, huh?!

I got these cute witch feet and the hat from our retreat director (Pat Lingwall) whose husband cut them out of wood. I saw how some of the other ladies at the retreat decorated theirs, and took a few ideas from them, but for the most part, I came up with it on my own! So cute, huh?

So feel free to drop a comment on my blog! I love to hear feedback!
